Dean Muldoon Chartered Physiotherapist

My name is Dean Muldoon and I have been a chartered physiotherapist since the year 2000. I work partly for the NHS at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. I have previously worked at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham for 14 years.

My role involves managing and rehabilitating complex spinal, upper, and lower limb musculoskeletal conditions. This may involve referral to other specialities and diagnostics such as MRI scans. I have worked alongside Orthopaedic Consultants for many years.

My job has involved carrying out Lumbosacral spinal injections as well as soft tissue, and joint injections. I have been treating patients with Acupuncture since 2003 and I am a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. I often use diagnostic Ultrasound to aid my Physiotherapy practice and use it to guide injections.

I have previously worked for the Army and a Premiership football club.

Callum Hewitt Chartered Physiotherapist

My Name is Callum Hewitt and I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from University of Bradford in 2018 graduating with first class honours.

I completed my rotational training at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust before specialising in Musculoskeletal assessment and treatment.

I have worked in Harrogate as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the NHS alongside working as the lead Physiotherapist for a Semi-Professional football club.

In 2022 I moved back to the midlands and took up an equivalent NHS post at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. I am a member of the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists).

My varied career has given me excellent experience in treating a wide array of MSK conditions. Treatments include Manual Therapy, Acupuncture, Strength Training and Rehabilitation.

Duncan Wells Chartered Physiotherapist

My name is Duncan and I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2015 from the University of Birmingham. I currently work as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. 

Within my current role, I treat patients suffering from a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain disorders. I am trained in acupuncture, use a wide range of hands-on techniques, and prescribe specific exercises aiming to reduce pain, restore function and manage conditions. 

Alongside my NHS career I have also worked in sports, as the lead Physiotherapist for the England Men’s Lacrosse team. Within this role I would manage and treat sporting injuries and return them to high level sporting performance.

Leon Mckenzie Chartered Physiotherapist

My name is Leon Mackenzie and I qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 2011. I work as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist at the Royal Orthopaedic hospital in Birmingham.

My job role involves the expert assessment, treatment and management for spinal, lower limb and upper limb musculoskeletal conditions. I refer for investigations such as XRAY’s, MRI’s and ultrasound scans when it’s appropriate.

As part of my advanced practice role, I perform joint and soft tissue injections when they are indicated. I have experience rehabilitating patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions.

My advanced practice skills allow for me to assess, diagnose, treat or triage a patient ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Paul Morrison Chartered Physiotherapist

My name is Paul Morrison, I have been a chartered Physiotherapist since 2008. My speciality is the assessment and treatments of musculoskeletal conditions.

I work at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in an Advanced Practitioner role, assessing and treating complex spinal pain patients. When appropriate, I request a variety of investigations, including MRI scan, X-rays and blood tests. I also complete a variety of joint injections for MSK pain.

I have previously worked at other NHS MSK departments, managing a wide variety of MSK conditions. I previously worked at a Premier League Football club for 15 years, within a very successful academy, assessing and rehabilitating Footballers back to full fitness.

Treatments techniques include, manual therapy, specific exercise rehabilitation and strength training, acupuncture and education. All targeted at individual recovery.

Raj Virk Advanced Practice Physiotherapist

Raj is an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist that has worked in both the NHS and private practice for over 10 years. Raj specialises in the field of Musculoskeletal and currently works in an orthopaedic triage as well as in primary care as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP).

Raj has a master’s degree in advanced Musculoskeletal Practice and provides Musculoskeletal Injection Therapy as part of his treatment on the NHS.

Raj has a specialist interest in the of management of ligamentous and cartilage injuries of the knee. He has worked with patients from amateur to professional level in sport, aiding to return them back to a competitive level of Sport.

David Whitfield Chartered Physiotherapist

David qualified as a physiotherapist in 2012. David specialised in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2016. Since 2016 I have worked in outpatient musculoskeletal Physiotherapy services, I have completed secondments in secondary care pain management and in accident and emergency as an emergency care practitioner.

I have also worked in an orthopaedic triage interface service and as a first contact practitioner in primary care. I have completed a part time MSc in advanced clinical practice to support my development into working in extended scope roles.
